Fico comments

Remembered that day we went to fico we some unhappiness? I actually wanted to post the comments regarding the timing thingy. But already there are alot of ppl complaining abt that.. This is What ppl wrote.

Hi FICO, just writing to support what ackrapovic had posted earlier on. We have some issues to raise too to the management of FICO. Hopefully this will help all parties. Issue 1 We had bump into scenario where ppl are late OR we had to start our session late, not at the hourly timing.. ie 915am. Well, as we all know there are always ppl who are late for soccer session. Sometimes it really cant be helped. ie Rainy weather, there is difficulties arriving at FICO on time. Not All of us drives In. Furthermore FICO isn't at a centralized area. There was once most of us were 15min late, and we weren't allow to start at 915am. Unless we are willing to pay the fees from 9am onwards. In the end, We had to wait for 45min in order to start playing. It really will help if this would be managed in a more flexible manner.

Issue 2

when we had our 1st few sessions at FICO, one of my ladies pal brought her camera along. At that time, we have some pals whom we haven met for a some time. Of course we were excited to take some pics together. after a few snaps, one Uncle walk over and told my lady fren not to use her camera in FICO. I wouldn't say he put it in a nice understding way nor a rude manner. without explaining why, he walk back to the booking booth. We were curious and tot this might be a misunderstanding. After our session, we decide to take a quick last shot gathering photo. Coz we might not know when is the next time we are going to see our pals again. Next moment, The Uncle walk over. This time, with no explanation again, in rude way. He told us off. Not wanting to create any commotion, we give up and not pursue anymore. Seriously, we really don't understd why taking photos are not allowed in FICO. Im sure alot ppl have been having gathering with frens and family over at FICO. I'm sure everyone would like to have some photos for memories Right? Surely taking photos isn't something a threat to security of FICO right? We aren't going to use the pics for any commercial use anyway. Really hope the management of the FICO would do something abt this. Im sure we wouldn't the only one who bump into this scenario.

Issue 3

As you can see from your forum, the most common suggestion kept popping out, is the need for Water Cooler. Frankly, We never been to or seen a sports hub Without a water cooler. I hope this is not a measure to make more money from the vending machines. I doubt so. Weather is hot, ppl are playing sports at FICO. The Last thing you want to happen, is someone dehydrated at FICO. Am I right? Lastly, FICO is really a nice place. We have been to The Cage and some other areas. All have their plus points and negatives... We DO enjoys our sessions at FICO. Thats why we came back. its only some little points which we believe can be improved to make FICO an even more enjoyable place for friends and families. Sincerely, I hope no offenses are taken. This post, is written purely in a manner to improve FICO.

come back to the issue of water cooler. FICO does not want to be held Responsible for the hygiene standards set by the water cooler provider. I do not know if this is the actual reason. Seriously and Frankly, I HOPE NOT. Like you, i wont agree with them either. Not wanting to be held Responsible for the hygiene standards is pretty a lame excuse. If You open a sports hub and yet you do not want to be held for the hygiene standards at your place??? What will happen is, Ppl played sports. After sports, they tend to be thirsted for clear water rather then some coke or whatever from the vending machines. In the end, i believe some ppl would restore to drinking from tap water. From where? of course from the toilets of the tap water of FICO. We all know the water from Singapore Tap water is drinkable. But not for all stomaches.

Hmm... I think I can answer your first point, regarding the timing thing. I'm really sorry that you all can't help but arrive late, but I suppose you've to see it from the other point of view too. You see, if you guys want to play from 9.15 to 10.15, what happens if someone books the court from 10-11? I know, you probably feel that if no one has done so, it should be ok right? But I suppose Fico just doesn't want to set the precedent with one group, that's why staff are told not to hand out uneven timings. It's the same with everything else... You buy the movie tix for a certain time, even if you arrive late, you have to pay the full fare... I suppose sometimes they can be a little flexible (let you play from 905-1005 if there's nobody booking the court) or even allow you to change your timings but I think the bottomline is they just don't want to set an example to others. So do try and arrive early to avoid forfeitting a few mins.

As for the rest, while sometimes I understand the rationale behind certain things (I think Fico didn't want to install water cooler because they don't want to be held responsible for the hygiene standards set by the water cooler provider), I won't say I agree with them all the time. Staff are acting under the orders of the management, so it's really not anything targeted against your group. I'm not exactly working with Fico now, but I'll find a way to pass your feedback to the management. Thanks for the feedback though.
